By the way, here’s the Unoa L-bi girl I did for the demo at PMX a few weeks ago. I had a really good time there, and learned a lot about BJDs! That may seem weird to hear from someone who has been in this hobby for so long and paints dolls too, but I really did learn a lot. There was a lot of really interesting information about the curing of dolls, the grit of resin, tips and tricks on sanding, and even the chemistry of resin thanks to a chemist being part of the panel.
It seems like a shame to not put eyelashes in her, but this is my go-to head for face-up demos because the audience gets a kick out of seeing me pop a completed head that I worked on in front of them immediately onto Bart with some eyes. It’s really gratifying! So sadly, this face-up will be gone soon too if I do more face-up demonstrations at conventions. I might be doing one at ALA, but that’s not at all a concrete thing at all! I’m still waiting on hearing back, haha.
Almost at fifty followers! :) Once again, if I hit fifty followers on Tumblr I’ll host a face-up giveaway twice a year. As a result, I get excited when I see the number of followers go up for this blog.
